Purpose/Objectives

Grants of up to $1000 | International Day of People with Disability

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day held on 3 December each year. 

Council invites eligible organisations to submit an application to support local IDPwD initiatives that celebrate, raise awareness and actively promote equitable inclusion of people with disability in the Liverpool LGA. 

Applications open 6 October 2026 and close 10 November 2026. Click on the following link to register and apply for the EOI process: 

Available Funding

Eligible organisations may receive up to $1,000.

Program Timeframe

IDPwD activities must be delivered between 1 December 2026 and 11 December 2026

To be eligible for funding, applicants must: 

a) Be incorporated or auspiced by an incorporated organisation

b) Be a not-for-profit community service organisation or group providing programs to the Liverpool Community 

To be considered for an IDPwD small grant, applications must clearly describe the proposal and demonstrate how the initiative or activity will benefit the targeted group or broader Liverpool Community. 

Please note:  The Small Grants Program for International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is separate to Council's Community Grants and Sponsorships Program.  Eligible organisations who already have an open Grant submission can apply for this grant simultaneously.
