The Matching Grants program provides financial assistance to projects that build or strengthen communities within Liverpool. These projects should focus on supporting the development and implementation of community capacity building activities, maintaining and conserving community assets, and providing opportunities for a broader cross section of the community to be involved in community and recreational activities.
Funding will support projects that address one of the following categories:
Arts
Capacity Building
Domestic Violence (DV)
Youth Engagement
Accessibility
Environment
Infrastructure
Community Safety
Public Space Activation
Sport Development
Available funding
The Matching Grants Program recognises community contribution towards a project and can offer up to $15,000 support to match this contribution.
Program timeframe
Applications can be made all year. Grants must be spent within 12 months of receiving them. Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the commencement of a project. In exceptional circumstances, an organisation that is partnering with Council may receive retrospect funding up to one (1) month after the delivery of an event or program. Grants must be spent within 12 months of receiving them.
